Have only gambled on PS4 so far does an Xbox series X or a PS5 make more sense?

ly

It just depends on which games you like more.

In addition, an Xbox is hardly worthwhile if you already have a PC.

ma

If you want a higher graphics quality / frame rate, yes.

Th

Both of them certainly have their advantages!

If you know the horsepower and get along with it, then definitely get the horsepower again. Even if your friends etc. Play on it, of course.

ma

It's not worth a console if you have a PC.

ly

If one e.g. Some PS exclusive games are already interesting.

ma

No, PS now is available for this, emulators, and some titles are also coming to the PC in good versions. Consoles are a waste of money when you have a PC.

ly

Not everyone wants to gamble with emulators. What is a waste of money and what is not also depends on people. When some people put more money into a PC than others into cars, it is also a waste of money in some eyes.

De

I would buy the console that most of my friends also have.
Personally, I wouldn't buy an Xbox because all of my friends play on the Playstation. So we can usually play together.

Ps Now costs money belly good internet and a modern console fluidly emulated you can forget that

the pc must also have enough power

My

You have more freedom on a PC with a comparable configuration, but since Sony and Microsoft (unlike Nintendo) subsidize their consoles, you usually get a significantly lower price for consoles in terms of hardware than a PC with a similar configuration.

ma

Ok, but it has nothing to do with a console, how much a PC costs and how much one spends on it. And as I said there's PSnow so you don't need an emulator if that doesn't suit you. So a PS5 would be a bad PC with fewer options for 500 euro.

ma

Well, with an old PC or APU setup, I can of course forget that. And I really hope that people who buy consumer electronics have at least 50+ Mbit / s. With the money I save on PS5+ games, I can pay psnow for years.

ly

But what is "a waste of money" and what is not in the eye of the beholder.

ma

You can argue everything with that. For some, even burning money is not a waste of money, but for the majority it is.

ly

But there are also many who have a PC and a console. Just referring to the majority is just as idiotic.

ma

No, the question is: where are the benefits? Apart from the fact that you then have 2 setups, there are none (if you already have a PC and are thinking of getting a PS5). I can play all PS games in higher quality on a PC.

ly

The questioner asked what is more sensible for him, not what has more advantages. PS Now can also use not everyone properly.

ma

A PS5 makes sense for him because he probably doesn't have a PC.

ly

Since he has not given any information about it, it looks like it.

Is a matter of taste. Take a look at which games you are more interested in and whether you prefer single-player or co-op and multiplayer games.

That a console or especially an XBox makes no sense when you have a PC is nonsense. I have a current gaming PC (actually work PC) that is just 4 months old and cost me over 4,000 euro, but I still have a PS4 Pro and an XBox One and play with them a lot more than on a PC. It's just a completely different, much chillier flair.

And especially if you have a PC, an XBox (with gamepass) makes perfect sense. For example, after finishing work in the office, I like to play an hour on the PC before I have dinner with my family. As soon as the children are in bed, I continue to play the same game with the same savegame (thanks to Gamepass Ultimate) from the sofa. And if the TV is still busy, I continue to play it on the smartphone via the XCloud until it is free.

Precisely because of these possibilities, I play in 5 out of 6 cases on the XBox and PC and in one out of 6 cases on the PS4.

But it also depends on other things, e.g. Which system you can possibly play online with friends on.

My first new console will be the XBox Series X, as I can take my entire game library from three generations XBox with me and many of the titles even look better and run more smoothly. The PS5 will only be of interest to me when real blockbuster games appear that will only appear for the PS5.

Because many of the games that were originally supposed to appear exclusively for the PS5 at the time of release are now coming to the PS4 and there are also more and more former exclusive Sony games for the PC.

It's just a matter of taste.

Thank you for your answer

After it became known yesterday that Microsoft has now taken over Zenimax and in one fell swoop there are 8 more exclusive studios that they already had with this purchase, it will now be very clear for me to be the XSX. Because this includes brands like Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, Dishonored and many more and probably a whole lot of them exclusively in the future.
