PlayStation, Xbox - multiplayer, game?

I would like to know if I can still play a game with someone else, which I don't have in multiplayer mode, regardless of which game it is?

I do not know how this is regulated on PlayStation and Xbox, because a buddy of mine would like to play something with me in the future and would like to know in advance and not that I make false commitments for things that do not work afterwards ^^

Sent in advance, it would be nice if you could formulate your questions in a reasonable and understandable German, i.e. Grammar and spelling. This makes it much easier to understand what you want at all.

Now to your questions.

As far as I know, only two games can be played together online, which only requires one owner. The Way Out and the more recent Wolfenstein Youngblood. With both, one player buys the game and the other can play with the owner after a free download in the Coop. However, the non-owner can't play alone or start a co-op session. Only the owner of the game can do this.

And the question of crossplay comes up again and again. Therefore, I would like to clarify first of all that this is the absolute exception between Xbox and PS. Spontaneously I think of Fornite, Rocket League, Modern Warfare and World of Warship. Sure, there's more, but experience has shown that there's no manufacturer, especially Sony, who is interested in sharing its online platform with a competitor, since their own games and thus console sales would suffer.
