The performance of a system is largely dependent on the operating system that drives the system. Some operating systems use hardware more efficiently than others.
It depends on the software developer what they make of it. And the fact that Microsoft slows down its own premium console with a less powerful console is pretty stupid!
First, the PS5 has 10.3 TFlops.
In addition, they don't both have the same performance just because the games run on both in 4K30. It would be interesting if they ran unlocked. Then the difference in TFlops would be reflected almost 1: 1 in the frame rate.
The 4K30, should that prove to be true, would indeed be pathetic and a horrific developer decision. With the performance of the consoles, 60FPS with a resolution somewhere between WQHD and 4K would be possible.

We're still in a transition phase to the next generation of consoles and the 3rd party developers in particular have little experience with the new systems. I also think that the first games still have the current generation of consoles as the lead platform.

I think that's utter nonsense (whatever the commenter says about you). 900p on XSS, that would be weird. In addition, it does not say whether the PS5 resolution is native. As long as the developer doesn't post it on Twitter, I think that's a more than questionable rumor.
