I bought an Xbox Series S and used the Game Pass to download various games (to a large external one) for days. I know that these are no longer playable when my subscription expires but am just wondering whether the downloads themselves will also be deleted then? I would like to have the opportunity to register again at short notice, for example when friends are there without hours of downloads Fifa or the like. To play. Does anyone know how that works?
I have a One S and I downloaded a lot of games onto an external hard drive and then my Game Pass expired. The games do not delete themselves. If you feel like playing a game again, you can simply get a new game pass and the game will start again
Great, that's exactly what I was hoping for!
With pleasure. I would appreciate a "most helpful answer" if you know what I mean.
I'm always happy when I can help
You can still keep the games on your hard drive and if you subscribe to the subscription again, you will have direct access to them and can start from the point where you last left off.
Note that many games get updates and you may have to update them if you want to play a game. The frequency of updates varies depending on the game.
How do you do that?
