Xbox player chat tone?

I always hear game sound on TV and people talking on headset and suddenly I hear people on TV but I only want game sound on TV and people talking on headset does anyone know what that is?

You have to go to Settings → General → Audio and Speakers → Chat Mixer there you can set this

When I press chatmixer, it just mutes all other sounds or reduces the volume of the other sounds by 80%

At the xbox party, I only hear people chatting over headsets in the game on TV

Then look further in the audio settings. If it is not there, go to the start page, on your profile, then you will find "Audio" via the settings

I think the game is counted as a game sound. That means you have 3 options.

1) Friends and sound through TV

2) Friends and sound through headset

3) Friends and sound through TV and headset

You do that, as just mentioned, in the audio menu above the settings icon

Ok before it worked too I heard friends over headset and game sound over TV and suddenly it changes and what is strange now and then I hear people over headset and not TV and then after a few minutes I hear them again on TV and not via headset

Then I recommend you to listen to sound and friends through a headset. Shouldn't be any trouble then

That's the way it is at fortnite right now

Ok, it's just a shame then I have to get used to it, but I think it's really rubbish why it suddenly happens

Right now it's back about 30 minutes until now, still not quite strange

It always worked for every game, just not for Fortnite. I think that came with an update
