I'm looking for a monitor for xbox series s I do not know my way around but I would if possible take one with HDMI 120 Hz I do not know whether that belongs. And should not be too expensive; )

There are also monitors that can also manage 144Hz via HDMI with the appropriate connections.

But I don't know Xbox now, the PS5 only manages 120 anyway and not even in all games.

To answer your question, I myself have the MSI Optix g241 144hz. Is a full HD monitor with 144Hz and it has a console mode with 120 Hz. I'm very satisfied with it and actually an acceptable price.

However, this is nonsense. With the latest HDMI standard HDMI 2.1, HDMI only supports a heart rate of 120.

But I don't know Xbox now, the PS5 only manages 120 anyway and not even in all games.

The Xbox games are a bit better optimized for 120hz and run a bit smoother thanks to AMD's hardware and software.

In addition, the Playstation 5 has relatively few 120fps games and the frame rate can't be maintained in these.

144Hz are quite possible. And the linked monitor also manages 144Hz via HDMI. As I said, I have it myself and can confirm it.

Said yes, I'm not up to date with xbox and that the PS5 only has a few games that it can handle, I know. Is it also in my answer m

So that would be something new to me 😄.

It is not without reason that the new consoles are only able to output 120hz and not 144hz. In principle, HDMI does not allow this. As far as I know, only Displayport can do this up to date.

Until recently I felt the same way with HDMI and 120Hz.

But after some research I also had to learn that HDMI is capable of transmitting 144Hz. There are many websites that confirm this. And my monitor stupidly confirmed it.

And if you scroll down to Note at the following link, MSI also confirms that HDMI can handle 144Hz.
