Buy and keep cars?

I bought a garage and a car with Michael in Gta on xbox and then I went to the garage and there it was. After a while I drove it scrap and then switched to Franklin and then back to Michael some time later and the car was not in the garage. Is it now gone forever / can you only use bought cars once?

No of course the car is not gone forever. If you are michael just call mors mutural "and select and replace your car.
