Can you play Ark on Xbox One (S) in the meantime?

Ark and Fallout 76 are 2 games that I would love to play, but unfortunately both are extremely jerky on my One S and therefore unplayable. Almost 2 years ago when I tried the games for the last time, was there an update that improved the frame rate or something?
