Why is there no recording from now setting on my Xbox one?

Hi. I formatted my USB stick for 10-20 minutes. To record. Now I try to record and there's only the setting "Record what just happened." How do I get the "record from now" setting?

You have to go to recording and playback with the xbox button on the controller and then it says something to start recording now.
