In my opinion, several charge kits or batteries are the best solution.
I've never been able to get to know rechargeable batteries, but I don't really want that either, I think that you should buy 2-3 batteries or a play and charge kit. I personally use the Xbox Series Elite Version 2 controller, which has a built-in battery, this has advantages and disadvantages.
I also recommend the original Play and Charge Kit from Microsoft from my own experience.
It is only slightly more expensive than comparable batteries but has a high capacity and a long service life.

But you should see which controller you have.
