Does the Xbox controller need batteries?

I have just bought an Xbox and have now read that it takes its power from batteries and as a long-time Playstation player that gave me a brief shock because I'm used to the Playstation charging the controller with a cable. So, do you need batteries for the Xbox controller or does it also have a rechargeable battery? And if you need batteries you can then take rechargeable ones and charge the I'm controllers. I also wanted to know how long you can play with the batteries.

Oa

It says how long you can play with it.

You can also buy an extra battery that you can then charge in the Xbox controller.

You could play with batteries. Of course, rechargeable ones work too. There are also extra batteries for this controller if you search for accessories in the Xbox Shop. Alternatively, you could only gamble with the cable. As far as I know, batteries don't really charge while you have a cable on (except for those from Xbox). How long the controller is operational on the battery naturally depends on the manufacturer of the batteries.

Get batteries in or battery packs straight away.

This Sony system has many disadvantages, so it is better to use this more uniform and practical system.

Jain. Xbox Elite controllers, for example, have a built-in battery. This has advantages and disadvantages.

Xbox One and Series do not have a built-in rechargeable battery, but come with 2 AA Duracell batteries included. These last for around 2 to 3 days with me.

Batteries from other manufacturers can of course be used. Alternatively, you can buy rechargeable batteries instead of batteries, the official battery pack would be the Play and Charge Kit, which comes with a USB cable and a rechargeable battery.

As far as I know, this doesn't really work. I would still recommend several batteries or a play and charge kit.

It can vary. Cheap batteries may only last half an hour. High-quality batteries such as those from VARTA or Duracell last around 2-3 days with me.

With normal Xbox controllers it depends on you how the thing gets power, AA batteries as well as rechargeable batteries or special batteries work, these are also officially available from Xbox / Microsoft
