Xbox one s game progress does not save CD version digitally when uninstalled?

Does anyone know if if you have a game on Xbox one that you have installed with CD, the progress of the game is saved in the cloud if you uninstall the game and reinstall it with the CD

I also have an xbox one s and for me when I buy a CD I usually have to download something often these are updates and for me the things are saved in the game on the console for example with Minecraft the worlds or the resource packages.

I guess if you delete the game then your progress will be deleted.
