Difference bluray player and xbox / ps?

Is not it more useful to buy a game console ansatt a bluray player if you want to watch bluray movies? On the bluray player you can only watch movies, etc. Or is there anyway a difference?

Better a game console. In the best case a Ps3. They were even able to play 3D movies better than 3D players.
