Which game looked more like a next gen game, Halo Infinte or Demon's Souls on both consoles (Ps5, Xsx)?

Ps5, Demon's Souls 1440p

Xbox Series X, Halo Infinite 4k

Difficult to compare because semi open world - vs mini-areas. I notice the halo being a lot more fluid and less laggy. The graphics quality looks like what I remembered the previous ones, that's a good thing because you always remember it better than it actually is. (Especially since I played Demon Souls on the PC in 4k, which is not exactly representative) In terms of details, the particle effects are similar in both, the shadows in Halo are a bit clearer but there are also less dynamic shadows than in the Demon Souls demo, but much more particles.

Halo seems to run at 60fps, demon souls works like a 30fps lock. The picture on Halo is clearer, I like the graphic style on Demon Souls better.

Demon Souls seems too dark to me in the video, I have a good monitor with exact color reproduction, I think that is relatively representative. I don't think that the shader will be delivered later - but let's see.

I also notice that Demon Souls is full of motion blur, whether the inengine was made or not, I don't know, but it is close that the in-engine is to fool you beyond the 30fps as usual. Demon Souls clearly looks best in small rooms with many light sources, as soon as you see open areas (such as briefly with the kite) it is significantly weaker. They also admit to being tired of showing dark scenes with multiple light sources, by far the largest part of the trailer, although Demon Souls consists of completely different areas and is much more diverse.

With Halo, I don't notice as much when it comes to tricks, it seems to be a more detailed representation of what you get to play afterwards, which is why the demo shows significantly more weaknesses than in the Demon Souls trailer. The level of detail in the background is impressive here, as is the clarity of the image, some terrain textures stand out negatively for me - this may be excusable given the size of the level. I won't play either unless it appears on the PC. At most sometime later on its 200euro ps5, but only if demon souls runs there in 60fps. I already made the mistake with the Ps4, the performance of Bloodborne and co were unbearable and I more or less threw the 140euro for the ps4 out of the window.

All in all, solid next gen if you pay attention to details, or for PC users just current gen.

Sk

Well, Halo looked almost ridiculously lousy, no sign of NextGen. (Graphics, popups, gameplay)

But after the network was amused about the presentation, it was claimed that the version shown was supposedly 6 months old. 😂

So far, I haven't seen enough of Demon Souls.
