I would like to get a new monitor for Christmas and would like to get the PS5 or Xbox next year too, both of which can do 4k 120hz
Now the question: Is a monitor with 4k and 60HZ or 1080 and 120hz more worthwhile?
Because 4k and 120hz are way too expensive for me…
Depending on what you gamble, a 120 hz is better
It can output 4k @ 60 in any applications / games. It has the technical specifications such as connection, etc.
However, I doubt whether 4k @ 60 is really achieved in many games.
Whether you buy a 4k monitor with 60hz or a FHD with 120hz, you should make it dependent on what kind of games you play.
If you play more fast multiplayer games, maybe you want to go something in the direction of esports, then FHD
If you only play single player games, then take the 4k.

I recently saw one with 1ms 144hz in 24 inches I mean for about 170 euro
Definitely 1080 120. In games you only notice the resolution as secondary, if at all with text. You constantly "notice" the hz
