I've never "played" with a controller (yes of course Mario, but that's different.) But if you like controllers… Why not?
I strongly advise against the Playstation 4 controller!
There's a very high probability that you can't do as many things with it as with the Xbox controller or the mouse and keyboard.
Personally, I still find the Xbox controller to be the chillest one. That means if you just want to fly around, break into your house, then the controller is enough.
However, if you want to do everything manually called radio messages and such, then a mouse and keyboard is the better choice.
In short:
Ps4 controller: Not recommended due to lack of options
Xbox Controller: For casual gamers who just want to fly around
Mouse and keyboard: For those who take the game seriously and want to do everything with the game.
