The Xbox "Dashboard" as it is called is unfortunately a bit slow in itself. A general problem of all XBox consoles since the 360.
To improve performance, you can do the following:
Hardboot: Press the power button for 5 seconds until the console goes out
Reset console to factory settings
Replace internal hard drive with SSD
Save games on your own hard drive
Do not fill the system hard drive
