The specs are pretty much irrelevant, depending on which exclusive games you prefer and which consoles your friends are hiding
I would go for the xbox, which I think is optically better, plus the Xbox is more open than the Playstation when it comes to game modding, and the company behind the console is more symptomatic to me
Since everyone will get a ps5 it would be wiser to get a ps5 because there will be more online players. And the exclusive titles from Playstation are just better than xbox
Take the console where most good friends are. You will hardly notice a difference between the two consoles if you should compare them directly.

The design is better, and there are much more triple A titles for the PS4 than for the Xbox. Yes, specs may be the same, but for me the xBox is just the little brother of the PS4, which wants to be as great as its big brother.
