Pyur WLAN connection always briefly gone?

So I've had problems with my Wi-Fi for a long time. The fact is that no matter how far away I'm from the router, the connection to the Wi-Fi is always briefly interrupted.

This means, for example, when I call via Whatsapp, sometimes (not very often, I would estimate it to be 2 times in 45 minutes, but it is often very different) that the connection is re-established and when I then look at my cell phone, there's briefly no Wi-Fi Sign showing.

After a few seconds it comes back and the call connects again.

This is never the case with my xbox one that uses LAN. But on the PC, where I don't use LAN, it is the same, i.e. It is apparently not due to the mobile phone.

The connection strength fluctuates again and again, and again only with Wi-Fi.

Changing providers is unfortunately not an option, as there's only one possible Wi-Fi provider in the house (Pyur).

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Could be due to the band steering (= fully automatic change of WLAN clients between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) of the dual-band router. Some client devices can't do this without interruption.

I would try to stop the band steering. So switch off in the router (on the configuration page). If that doesn't work, try assigning different SSIDs (WLAN name), so give the SSID for 5 GHz a different name (e.g. Otto make Otto5). Then band steering will never take place.

I recommend updating the router's firmware. How to do this is in the router manual. In most cases this will help.

Thank you very much, I've done this now. Will see if it is fixed in the next few days
