How does it work if the Xbox Live Gold Membership is out and I still can play online?

I bought an Xbox One a month ago (a bundle with a free membership for 1 month) to be exact, 33 days have passed, but strangely, I can continue to play online. Will that be billed from my account? (But have no credit card details, etc. Indicated, only my address) Thanks in advance.
