So now I have an xbox one s and there's a playstation plus. Is xbox live gold the same just for xbox so you can play online. Eg I got fifa and I need it online so I have to get gold live? And what is xbox game pass which one is for?

And if I now get xbox live gold on the internet how can I redeem it on the console because I entered xbox live gold in the store. You could only choose 1 month and 3 months but want to buy 12 months directly. And where can you redeem the code?
