The new generation of consoles will come onto the market soon. I'm considering buying the Xbox Series X and the Playstation 5. I want the two consoles to last a long time, so I want to protect them from too much dust. Now to my question: The Xbox Series X has a tower design. Should I just put it down (edgewise) (the air comes out at the top) or should I put it in a piece of furniture (small chest of drawers - has an open back) so that it doesn't get too dusty. I don't want the fan to get too dusty, but I also don't want the heat coming from the top of the fan to build up too much on the inside of the dresser.
I'm very grateful for tips and suggestions.
Just make sure to wipe behind, on and under the console when wiping dust.
You can also try setting up external fans that improve the airflow in the dresser.
But never external fans that can be attached directly to the console like from Amazon or something. If they fail, it gets dangerously hot because there's no air.
