Xbox Series S or Xbox one x?

I would like to switch from pc gaming to console again, but I've already got myself a 4k monitor…

I'm fluctuating between Xbox one X with a game at 369 or

Xbox Series S at 310

Would like to take advantage of the 4k monitor, the age of the one x scares me, the series s that already play only 900p… You don't know how upscaling works…

So for me this question arises, in the case of the one x I will get the xbox series x in a year or so in the case of the series s in 2 years…

There won't be any new games for the Xbox One in a long time, while the Series S can play anything for the next 6-8 years. And the One X can't play that much in 4K either, with most games like the Series S it is only 1440p, mostly with 30fps where the Series S should probably have 60fps more often.

Why not go straight to the Xbox Series X?

The S is just a weaker version of the X.

Thanks, I didn't know that with the X at 1440p, then the S probably makes more sense.

Because the X is completely out of stock by march but you're right otherwise the series x would of course be the first choice
