As you can see from the title, I have problems with GTA 4. When I start the game on Steam, I get two options: Creating an Xbox account - or: Starting the game. When I click on the button with the Xbox account, only the directory "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Grand Theft Auto IV \ GTAIV" is called. And when I press "Start Game", the exe file starts, but I only have a black screen there.
In the past I knew another launcher. I have only started the game for a long time. I assumed it was some bug in the files, so I uninstalled the game completely. Unfortunately, the same problem arose after the re-installation.
Does anyone have any ideas what this is and what you could do about it?
Since Games for Windows Live no longer exists, it's a cramp to get GTA 4 up and running.

Is a good guide to it.
Have you already tried the device on and back on
Yes of course. The problem extends over a longer period already, so that meanwhile my PC was also several times off.
Thank you, I'll give it a try.
Small feedback: It worked.
