Xbox360: Why isn't GTA Vice City running?

I've just bought a used German version of the game for my Xbox 360 (German version) and when I put the DVD in, I get a message that the original X-Box game is not supported on my console. But it could be that there's an update and I should therefore look at their website.

GTA Vice City is also included in the list of downward-compatible games for the 360 console.

There are instructions / requirements for the game to run:

Update the console software

an original hard disk must be installed…

both apply, but the error message persists…

What can you do, why is it?

Vlt clean the disc?! Or another hard drive if possible?! Are you connected to live and logged in?

Thank you… Yes, I'll try both next. It may be that someone replaced the hard drive in the official Microsoft hard drive case and it was branded by Microsoft.
