Can I still play online if the ultimate game pass has expired? So is Xbox Gold live again?
Unless you have a renewed Xbox live Gold membership, this will not work, apart from Free to Play titles.
Xbox live Gold is mandatory to play online. So if your Gamepass Ultimate, which contains Xbox live Gold, expires, you logically lose your Gold membership.
Xbox live Gold is also available individually for 6.99 a month or optionally as prepaid in stores.
But I think the Gamepass Ultimate is the better deal.

That should work.
However, if you have an existing Gold subscription until December, your Gamepass should actually be converted.

For me it says canceled last December
The only thing left is the Ultimate Game Pass
