I have the following problem. Since I was 4/5 years old I started with the PS1 until today PS4 and only gambled between obsessed with Xbox consoles. Video games grabbed me then, I was able to immerse myself in worlds and switch off for a few hours.
This feeling has been gone for a long time since about 1 year I start to play and very often lose the desire to play even though this is not bad, and I also have the problem with series or films.
I have internal stress of being unproductive and doing nothing, even though when I work 8 hours I was not unproductive in the evening when playing because I was working during the day.
I hope you may have had the same experience or are in the same situation.
Sorry for my spelling, it's quite late and I'm typing on a not so cooperative smartphone.
I feel similar to you.
No matter if I like a new game, every time I think I could play one of the few games that I've been playing for years or just watch YouTube.
I just can't get myself into a new game and it has been going on for the past 6 years.
I'm currently trying to regain my lust by streaming. Unfortunately there's a shortage of viewers and without them it is like I'm not streaming.
The same with me
I play on the pc
mostly something like cs, dayz co.
but somehow the desire to play is no longer there
I started training the day before yesterday
just 15 sit ups
15 pushups
Bend 15 knees
is pretty fun
Strangely enough, I can now switch off and not play while gaming
have the problem for 3 months
is annoying but somehow not that bad
or you can do something else
I would say you subconsciously noticed that there are better / more important things than gambling.
however, you either haven't found any other hobbies yet, or you don't have time for them because of the work.
you are bored with gaming because you don't want it anymore, but have nothing else to do.
and one could justify the bad conscience with it.
because you have not done what you actually want / what makes you happy, you have a "bad conscience".
I wouldn't try to fight it, I say.
is actually a good sign.
maybe the new hobby that will be better / more important than gamble will come of its own accord.
Send me your name maybe your content is captivating.
Thank you very much. It may be possible to have a girlfriend and a job. These are perhaps the more important factors before my eyes.
Unfortunately I doubt it. I rather try to get viewers by answering every answer as possible: https://www.twitch.tv/..._fireblade
Gambling is sometimes a hobby. Nobody has the qualifications to rate a hobby as better or more important. Everyone decides for themselves.
Everyone has times of thirst in their leisure activities. Sometimes it only takes a few weeks, sometimes years, until the lust starts again. But it may also be that you have outgrown this activity or are looking for something new.
Just sit down and ask yourself what you'd like to do instead. I often travel on Twitch in such phases. I go to small streamers and have my interactive television program there.
You could also plan more with your girlfriend or your friends in general. Alternatively, you could, for example, deal with further training courses that are offered from your work and attend a few courses.
Exercise also helps tremendously to free the mind and reduce stress. Just go running in the evening for 10-20 minutes and you will get a completely new body feeling and new ideas that may help you.
Above all, don't argue that what you choose to do in the end could be a waste of time. Leisure activities should entertain you, relax you, bring you to other thoughts. In the end, wanting to be productively compulsive only destroys you. There are jobs that can be productive, but that should never be a priority.
Whereby the job can also be the "problem".
if you don't do what you enjoy.
you spend most of your life with it. If you are unhappy about it, at the end of the day you also feel "guilty" because you are not doing what is really fulfilling on the inside.
just saying.
Dett true.
didn't say anything else.
I had that before the release of gta5 and persona 5. I got a little bit stuck and broke off again and again. At persona I then searched 100 hours xD
Now I'm starting Horizon again before the second part comes. And I will continue to play through the Assassins creed series until the ps5 is released.
Maybe you have to try to set a goal.
I'm currently unhappy at work but it will be applied for study in 2 weeks so hope there will be changes soon.
