I have got a question. I'm 15 and my father took my PlayStation away from me because I broke two wheels on my gaming chair and jumped around in it too much. It should be noted that this is the cheapest of its kind. It is not a branded chair but one from Wish, but that doesn't interest him. He said to me that I have to give it away or sell it. There's nothing else. Is he allowed to do that out of a purely legal situation or are there any rights that forbid him to take them away from me "forever"?
Your parents are allowed to take all of your belongings away from you until you turn 18. As an educational measure. And if it was actually their property (bought from them), then of course forever
Did you buy the PlayStation yourself, is the receipt in your name? Otherwise you are not an owner.
Unfortunately not🥶
Then you have your answer
If you bought the Playstation yourself then he is not allowed to do so. He may collect it up to your 18th birthday as an educational measure, but then has to give it back to you. That would not be the case when selling or giving away.
I have no idea who bought the chair and why. Sure, cheap parts like that break easily. Especially if they are not handled properly (and a chair is not a trampoline)
It would make more sense (in my eyes) if you just had to buy a new chair. - or you don't live with it.
