I bought an Xbox One X a good six months ago.
I'm currently using a 1080p 60 Hertz TV. But I'm thinking about buying a 4K monitor. The TV is too big for me and the picture doesn't look too nice, and I like to play games that are less performance based and rely more on nice graphics and a rich picture (The Elder Scrolls, Jedi: Fallen Order, etc.) What do you think about it, what would you advise me to do? TV with 1080p or monitor with 4K?
If a television is too big for you, you can answer the question yourself. Buy a monitor with 4k and 144hz.
Total nonsense to spend so much money on a monitor and then not even a powerful pc
If then 4K and 60hz. The TV also has 60hz and even shooters run smoothly. Most 144hz 4K monitors are insanely expensive. I also think that the One X can't exceed 120 Hz
Okay, 60hz then. And just by the way: with a PC you can get much nicer results in terms of graphics. Consoles are nowhere near as good.
Rome wasn't built in a day either - he can still buy a PC. With the new consoles, there's now a platform change anyway, XBox One and PS4 are End of Life. Nothing new is coming.
If you really want to have a full and sharp picture, I would recommend an IPS panel (monitor) with 4K and 60hz.
You don't need more than 60Hz for the next consoles and 4K in the 144Hz range is priceless and most of the time you only get a TN panel.
Get a monitor and maybe next year, when the platform changes due to the new consoles, a new PC.
If 60 hearts on a tv are liquid for you (so of course it runs smoothly) then you've never seen 144 Hertz or higher ^^
I don't need a lot of Hertz. All I want is a nice picture and fun to play
I'm just a console gamer. I also got the One X with Jedi: Fallen Order (Premium Edition for 70 euro) for a total of 200 euro. I can't complain about that
I'm also ^^ grew up with a wii, a ds and a ps3. On the PC, I actually only played Minecraft haha …
