PC monitor + USB devices defective?

Recently, my computer broke down (at least I thought) the screen has no image displayed and the keyboard + mouse were also not recognized. I thought then that the motherboard is broken. Now I got a new one from a colleague today, but there's the same problem? The monitor showed (!) To "no Siganal" and the mouse + keyboard are also not, which I find very very strange. Is it somehow possible that the cables of the respective devices are all burned out or so, because: the new PC has an HDMI connection. So have the HDMi cable of my Xbox connected to the monitor and video card and lo and behold: Picture is displayed! Only the mouse and keyboard are still not both… Find that all very funny and hope that someone has an explanation and in the best case still has a solution.

If a cable "burns through" as a power flow, the monitor pops and goes up in smoke.
I think rather, that has appeared on the PC outputs through the defect "overvoltage" and thereby have the connected devices "a wiped".

The internal electronics have been damaged.

If the mouse and keyboard do not work on another PC then this sounds like this error.
