Am thinking of getting a Series S. Most likely I will only play on my small 32 inch TV (1080p) or my PC monitor (1080p) anyway. Will I be future-proof as far as FPS and graphics are concerned? So, for example, will I be able to play games on Ultra 1080p smoothly with 60+ frames? I will probably never use 4k, at least on the Xbox. Therefore the consideration of a Series S not X.
Consoles are a closed system. You can't adjust any graphics settings like "ultra". Everything is optimized so that it runs on the console so I don't understand your question.
OK, to put it another way: in the future, games will be playable on the S in ultra / high (60fps +) or, as with the one, extremely slimmed down
In contrast to the PC
Yes as I said the games are optimized and will always run eg 60 fps. The graphics are just the variable factor here that will hardly deteriorate, but typical for consoles, the next 3-4 years until the next generation comes out will not change either, since the systems remain the same. PC will of course always be up to date and therefore always better / more up-to-date, but of course also more expensive.
It is best to have a look at
there both consoles are compared with each other and the advantages and disadvantages are weighed against each other.
But yes, if you "only" want to play in 1080p and 60Hz, then the Series S is perfect for you and completely sufficient (apart from the smaller storage space on the SSD).
Game consoles are always 4 years behind a current graphic.
How can you let such junk turned on?
