New televisions no longer have a Scart connection?

I bought my first TV last week. I wanted to use it mainly as a screen for my Xbox anyway. But then I thought, let's hang up the DVD player. But I noticed that it doesn't have a scart connection. Is it because you don't have it these days or is it because the television was so cheap?

The newer televisions generally no longer have a Scart connection.

St

No, today's TVs actually no longer have a Scart connection, as everything uses HDMI

But there are probably still one or the other TV with such a connection, which you have to go looking for

Scart is a system from the last millennium. Nobody really needs it anymore. Use an adapter. Or maybe your DVD player has other connection options.

Scart is totally out of date and the picture is gruesome. Even an old DVD looks much better with HDMI than with Scart.

There would of course now be a Scart to HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.de/AMANKA-Scart-Konverter-Wandler-Blu-ray/dp/B0777DWSQB/), but you could also consider buying a Blu-Ray player so that you can watch Blu-Rays.

If in doubt, your XBox should already be able to do this, so you don't need the DVD player anyway.

La

Unfortunately this is not needed that often these days. Is not due to the TV set.

I can recommend it

I don't even have the Xbox yet. I received an Xbox One from a friend.

di

The Xbox One should also be able to play BluRays. Even if you don't have it yet, you can still wait that little bit if necessary.

Ra

Sure, I just mentioned that, because it could be that the Xbox One can't do that yet or something like that.

Fu

The Xbox one plays Blu Ray and buys via HDMI
