Why do I have to top up more money (Xbox game pass ultimate)?

I wanted to buy the Game Pass Ultimate for my PC for 3 months. The first month costs 1 euro and there are just two free months.
Why do I have to pay more money now? Do I have to pay a total of 1 euro for the first three months and an additional 12.99 euro for the 4th month?

As in the picture, you only pay € 1 for the first month. After that, each month costs 12.99 euro, because the almost 13 euro are the actual subscription costs for Gamepass Ultimate, PRO month. In your case, you will get another 2 months for free. That means instead of just 1 month for just 1 euro, you get 3 months for 1 euro. Then, as I said, you pay 12.99 euro per month. There's a relatively ingenious trick: if you do not have an Ultimate subscription yet, do the following: Buy an annual subscription Xbox Live Gold, on Ebay or Amazon there are a few sellers who offer you something for just over 40, - €. Buy a 12 month membership and then redeem it on Xbox. THEN you buy Gamepass Ultimate for 1 Euro, and your gold membership will then be converted to Gamepass Ultimate. The advantage here is that you get 12 months of free Gamepass out of nowhere, because your existing gold membership is converted to the Ultimate subscription when you purchase and activate it. The best of all: you not only get 12 months of free gamepass, you save a lot of money! If you e.g. If you would buy Ultimate on your Xbox One / Series for 1 year, it costs € 129. So you save over 60 euro! So think about it carefully! In the current case, if you get Gold for 12 months beforehand and subscribe to Ultimate for 3 months for only 1 euro, you have spent 15 months of Ultimate for just under 40 euro instead of 130 euro. But the decision is yours.
