Will it be compatible once it is released? Can I just buy the disc (CD) and then play it on the One?
Whether a successor will even come to Forza Horizon 4 has not yet been confirmed.
If so, it would likely hit Xbox Series S | X and Xbox One S | X (but only if that game was released in the next 2 years)
Did I miss something? Has MS announced Forza Horizon 5? I think if it comes out in the next 1 - 1½ years then it could come on the Xbox one too…
Nobody will be able to tell you that, but it is unlikely.
The announced support of the current consoles was initially promised, but how long Microsoft will go this way is no longer certain. Too much they slow down the next gen consoles.
In addition, a Horizon 5 is out of the question, as the two Forza series always appear alternately. So the long-known new motorsport offshoot will probably appear for the first time in 2021 and only then should a new Horizon part be considered.
Fortunately, finally a little more realism instead of arcade. But that's just my personal opinion.
So a Horizon 5 will not appear before 2022.
Realistically speaking, it is highly questionable whether the old consoles are still supported.
