The PS5 / XBOX has an RRP of 499.99 euro.
This is also how it is sold but with 16% VAT.
Should the price not be 3% less then instead of 499.99 euro - 489.12 euro!
I can't imagine that Microsoft's MSRP in January would suddenly be 511 … Euro.
No, this is not a fraud, the VAT that the entrepreneurs are currently paying is only 16%, but each retailer is free to decide whether to pass this on to the customers or simply keep it for himself as a higher margin.
As you say "than keeping higher margin for itself" Amazon said it passes the reduction on, but in my eyes it doesn't! 499.99 euro RRP is ok, if someone goes below it too, but Amazon is getting 3% and I personally don't think that's ok!
I don't know what Amazon says, I haven't bought anything there or account, but the law doesn't force Amazon to lower its price, the law only forces them to pay 16%, that's it.
Yes i agree with you. You do that too, but it is not OK with the consumer! I'll take a look at the items I've recently bought in January. I bet that the price hasn't changed, only that Amazon earns 3% less on it and I didn't benefit from the reduction this year!
How the dealer handles this is up to them. With some products it is not passed on, with some it is.
I don't even find the consoles mentioned on Amazon.
