If there's an update for cold war and I press start, it does not start to update and if I pause it I can't continue what can I do?

What is that stupid you can maybe copy the game to an external storage medium you have something there that you remove the game from the console and then stop the download so that it doesn't delete the whole game for you

Well, try to save the game externally and switch off the console properly and remove the hard drive, start the console again and see if the download has finished then plug the hard drive back in and try to start the update again
