Me and my boyfriend want to play Dead By Daylight together my boyfriend got the game on an Xbox game pass or something and I got it on Steam and he can play it on PC but there's a problem we don't know how to play together.

So far there's no crossplay between PC and Xbox, for example, but that will come soon.
Not yet, because crossplay has only been supported in a very limited form. At the moment, Steam and Game Pass players can theoretically play together or against each other, but you can't send friend requests or somehow come together in lobbies.
At some point in the course of the year, fully supported crossplay should come and then also between all platforms, i.e. Console and all PC versions.
