M.2 SSD on MSI B450 Gaming Plus?

I wanted to install an SSD of the M.2 format of Samsung in my PC. More specifically, the 970 EVO. The o.g. Mainboard also supports this form of SSD as far as I could read this from the manufacturer side. Now my problem: On the manufacturer side of the motherboard under the point specification is the following text (see picture!)

M.2 SSD on MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Now the text in the footnote 1 has extremely unsettled me. Does this mean that if I connect a M.2 SSD over the provided interface that the SATA ports are deactivated?
This would not be so good that I still have a 1TB HDD and a 2.5-inch SSD s.System connected.

Now finally my right question, I can do an e. Install 500GB M.2 SSD into my system and continue my 2.5 inch SSD on my OS is on it and use my HDD with games etc?

Are there any other disadvantages or points that I should consider (for example, PCI Lane issue)?

Many thanks for the help!

PS: For the sake of completeness, my system specs:

MSI B450 Gaming Plus
Ryzen 5 2600
16Gb DDR4 RAM at 2933Mhz
Gainward GTX 1070
Samsung SSD 840 Evo 250GB
Hitachi 1TB HDD
530 Watt Bequiet power supply

Ha

Yes that fits!

You can then only Sata 5 + 6 no longer use because disabled.

The 970 is VOLLangebunden! Like gpu and ram, M-2 and Sata 5 + 6 are tied directly to the CPU and not to the chipset.

PS: Games belong on an SSD

So your board has 6 SATA ports. The two far right (towards Ram) are SATA5 and SATA6. You will not be able to use these if you install your M.2 SSD. Otherwise, you can still use SATA1-SATA4 without problems for your HDD and the other SSD.

So as a prerequisite that games belong to the SSD, I would not put it, unless you really have very few games that you play intense, in today's size of games that is quickly expensive xD

Ha

Not really ^^

500gb games ssd 60 euro = 20 games…

However, games are no longer just 25 GB in size, but are already in the range of up to 100 GB. For example, I have 1.5 TB full.

Ha

Which z.b?

ki

Final Fantasy XV, Call of Duty WW2 / BO4, GTA V, Battlefield 1 / V, Destiny 2, Hitman, Just Cause 4 - all games beyond 25GB.

Ha

It's about games that need> 100gb…

ki

It is about games that go up to 100 gb, and this includes, for example Final Fantasy XV.

Ha

Yes drummm and you take 10 games

1 * 75GB

* 4 50gb

5 * 25gb

then there's 400 gb. And that is quite high for the space requirements of games…
