Maybe you use pickled garlic sometimes. Something like that:

I usually love garlic, but I've never used the pickled one because I don't know what it tastes like or how to use it.
Is it only for cold dishes? You don't heat it up anymore, do you? Is the garlic still very hot or is it milder due to the pickling?
So how do you use that? You don't snack on the cloves of garlic, do you?
I pickle garlic and small onions myself from time to time. I only eat them as a snack. I never use them for cooking. It certainly doesn't taste good either.
So I "snack" them every now and then at the Marend, that is to say for a snack. But rarely, because I'm not the biggest fan of it now. I could also imagine using it in salads somehow. Or for dressings, if you press it or cut it into small pieces because you don't really like garlic.
In general it is comparatively very mild, but depending on the seasoning it doesn't taste bad. I do not think that it will be reheated.
I tried it for a snack today. As you said: I can imagine having a snack, but not a lot of it. It's milder, but you still wouldn't add it all to the salad.
Is probably best on the snack plate.
I eat it straight from time to time with sausage bread. I could then eat it by the toe, because it is no longer spicy at all.
The remaining liquid goes into the salad dressing.
