For my part, I now only buy all my Switch games in the eshop. I find that more practical, because firstly I don't always have to change cards, secondly I can't lose the cards and thirdly, the games can't be stolen from me and I don't have to lug around all the cards on the go.
If the Switch is stolen from me, I just have to replace it and, thanks to a Nintendo Account, can install all my games on a new Switch.
With retail games, these would also be gone.
How do you prefer it and why?
It's easier, there are sales and suggestions, I find it clearer and easier if you don't have to lug around 10 cards, but have everything ready at a glance.
If possible, I buy EVERYTHING retail
If the switch is stolen, that doesn't mean that all games will be stolen right away
Tickets can still be sold, for example in the event of a bad purchase. I once bought 1-2-Switch for 60 euro, was dissatisfied and couldn't return it
Games can also be deleted from the eShop, although very rarely, but it is possible
I prefer the retail versions. For my money I prefer to have something in hand and if the game is not good, I can sell it again if in doubt
That depends on whether the games are possibly on offer.
Mostly as a card, however, I often buy larger, more popular games as a card, and smaller indie games digitally.
