In many games that you buy as a gamecard, there's often a download code that you have to use to continue playing or to be able to play at all (Bayonetta 1 or Spyro for example). There are also games that can only be bought in the eShop. Doesn't it make more sense to buy the games only through the eShop? Do you have digital games on your switch or do you only buy in the store?
So I only buy games online if they are not available as a map version. Since I just think it's nicer when you can put a game on the shelf, the storage space of the Switch is not infinite.

Digital games are much more practical. I don't have to change CDs if I want to play a different game. CDs can't be broken or lost. I have backed up my entire collection online. Don't need space in the room. Less dust.
The instructions for video games used to be really cool. It was fun to read. But today there are none anymore. So you can do without it.
