I want to play Super Mario Odyssey with several friends aka. I play and they watch via video transmission.
I know that I can legally get an emulator for PC but the Super Mario Odyssey ROM is copyrighted.
My question is: can I legally download the SMO [Super Mario Odyssey] ROM since I have already bought the game on the switch legally?

A legal download of data without appropriate copy protection is not offered by Nintendo, they would like to promote the use of the console and that of emulators.

Downloading legally purchased software from illegal sources is not legally as easy to evaluate:

For those who offer the unlawful file for download, it is still a criminal offense and can make high claims for compensation.
For those who download the unlawful file, the copyright infringement and possible damages, since the purchase was already acquired the right to use the software. However, since 2008, it is no longer possible to keep the illegal file as a backup, so you could ask for the file to be deleted.

In addition, you should be careful not to use a P2P download process such as torrent, where you for technical reasons to Uploader will otherwise make you punishable. In addition, these methods are easy to detect which the Abmahnrisiko is very high.
