I connected an old "hama" Playstation 3 controller to my Windows 10 computer via USB to use it with emulators. I can use it so far and the mapping of the emulators also works without any problems.
However, the controller also controls my Windows computer itself. So a kind of input control. If I press "triangle", for example, this calls Steam, or in other combinations I can also use it to change the volume of the computer.
I really want to turn this off so that I only want to use it for emulators. I have not yet found an attitude to this. Can someone help me there?
I had that with my Xbox controller. At that time, Steam intervened because it wanted to use the controller for Big Picture Mode. Try if this helps too:

Thank you! Steam was actually the problem. However, not the Xbox controller support, but the Steam Controller firmware was the problem. After I removed it, everything was as I wanted it to be.
