I have been trying to get my network up and running properly for MONTHS. However, I encounter one and the same problem every time.
My Fritz.Box blocks almost every connection to my computer. But not completely. Windows still shows that it has a normal connection, but I can no longer open a page. No program that needs the Internet works anymore.
I just don't find the reason for it. Because, for example, all of my smart home devices continue to work without any problems. It only works again when I restart the router.
What should I do to solve the problem?
If it is necessary, here is some information:
Network operator: Unitimedia
Fritzbox: Fritz! Box 6490 Cable (provided by Unitimedia)
Have occupied all 4 LAN ports:
Cable up in the house
Cable to the ground floor
Cable in my room (The "problem child")
Cable to the Wi-Fi router
On my cable is connected: The PC, PS4, Sky Q, Wii U, Nintendo Switch
I have already tested whether the problem then arises with all devices of the cable. No it does not. Only my PC is always blocked.
Maybe your LAN connection is broken?! So your LAN card.
How many ports does your AP have in your room?
I have already tested whether the problem then arises with all devices of the cable?
I hope you mean you changed the cables of the devices?
Use the elimination process
The hardware on the PC
Exchange Lan cable
The hardware on the router
Connect the cable of your device to another Lan connection first. If that works, then the other device can move to the now free port. If it works, neither the cable nor the Lan port.
Then you dial into your router and take a look at the error diagnosis.
Have you checked the filter settings?
With "I have already tested whether the problem then arises with all devices of the cable" I mean:
I have two splitters in my room: That means the cable from port 3 is split once on my PC and goes once into my PC, and then on to my TV and everything else mentioned there.
The hardware on the PC fits: I used my cell phone as a hotspot, I used a WLAN to LAN adapter and it works without any problems.
It may not be due to the cable itself, since all other connected devices work without problems.
The router is new from Unitimedia, and it works with all other devices without any problems.
I have already changed the port in the router, no change.
The fault diagnosis shows nothing.
No, that's not because. I also have a USB LAN card and it has exactly the same error pattern.
Do you mean the Fritzbox or my Wi-Fi router as an access point?
You have port 3 going from there
PC and then on to TV
from there to everything else? I would say a hell of a lot. If that were good, there would be no FB 4 Lan ports…
I don't have all the devices running at the same time. If there are two, that's a lot. None of the other devices run while the problem occurs on the PC.
And in addition, 4 LAN ports are not really much for a three-piece house.
Unfortunately doesn't help me any further.
Why not? Are filters active?
No, no filters are active that should block the connection. I currently have a completely "fresh" box because I once reset it to factory settings.
In other words, all devices in the group are standard.
Right, it seems, but you only use port 3. That 1/2/4 are not used. Please use a Lan Switch to distribute, not a splitter.
Well, of course it can also be LAN access on the PC. Anything else The router mis-analysis?

Then I've already written use the exclusion procedure
I would solve everything, completely everything. Then as 1. Only the PC without splitter or Lan switch at least 2 restarts. It works. Always re-start / re-wire every time.
So you definitely come to the problem point.
I definitely understand your tips, but what always puzzles me is the fact that it always works fine after a single restart.
I simply can't understand the logic of what is happening in the Fritz.Box at this moment. That exceeds my knowledge in this area…
I'm assuming you tried That you swapped the Lanports and that you have a switch.
If, after trying it, it still doesn't work, it will be the LAN input on the PC.
The FB works yes
You write "splitter" in a comment… What exactly do you mean by splitter? Is this a network switch (active distributor) or do you only have a parallel connection of the network cables? This can't work because the network is a point-to-point connection and only two devices can be connected to each other. Another device causes communication problems and leads to faulty connections. The "stronger" device may remain connected and the other may not work properly… Even if e.g. TV and PC hang in parallel, and if the TV is off, the network of the TV can still want to access the box… After all, the TV is supplied with power and various functions also run in standby… After restarting the router, it may be that the PC simply establishes the connection faster, but the TV eventually accesses the network and blocks your PC again…
I assume in your words it's a switch. He just picks up the "source" and splits it into 4 signals.
I've been using this way forever and never had any problems with it.
And my TV can't do that either, because it is connected to a Smart Home socket and it is usually off.
I also connected the switch to a Smart Home socket on my PC… Can this lead to problems because it is switched on and off so often?
