I'm 16 years old (almost 17) and my father thinks he has to control me with a temporary internet lock. I find this childish and absolutely not useful, especially now in the online teaching times. That's why I want to bypass the lock as I have done it a few times using the IP address and MAC address. This time, however, neither works and I wanted to ask for help on how to bypass this lock. Perhaps there's nothing you can do about it because I haven't found anything on the Internet? Internet lock is apparently Lan-related, since all my devices that work via Wi-Fi still work with the Internet and my PS4 that is connected to the LAN still works. How can you get around that?
Listen to your father.
Too much internet is unhealthy.
Wasn't my question
Your father is right, he has to control it.
Your brain doesn't care if you're stuck with something for online classes or for gambling. Too much is just not good.
And if school needs more time online, you just have to reduce private consumption.
You could buy a USB WLAN stick and then connect the PC via WLAN. That seems to be working.
But.
Or use the cell phone as a Wi-Fi stick because most of them have a cell phone at hand anyway.
His question wasn't whether his father was right or not😂
You can only bypass the lock indirectly. Namely, by showing your father that you can handle media consumption responsibly, adhere to certain time limits and do not let other tasks such as helping around the house or school issues slip.
This bypasses the lock with a probability bordering on certainty.
LOL I'm 12 and have unlimited cell phone time.
He says he thinks that is childish. And that's not it. Perhaps he will see that - that makes the original question superfluous.
Or should I just have written "does not work"? What would he have learned then?
But.
That was exactly the question.
Yes and? Just because your parents are happy that you don't get on their nerves and that they have peace and quiet in front of you doesn't have to be right or healthy.
