Is Nintendo Switch a step backwards to Wii?

The switch I know only from the advertising, but I found the Wii by the novel controller but also by accessories such as the balance board quite interesting.

As far as I know, the switch is more of a classic console, apart from the fact that you can use it both mobile and on the TV.

But is it, if you fan the Wii, is there any progress in switching to the Switch or would you be disappointed? Especially in the sense that you can use the whole body in the Wii, or for example in sports games could mimic the real movements with the controller, compared to the more primitive buttons on the new console.

Well, you can see it either way whether it's a waste of money or not. Switch is actually a good source of money for that, but the variety and maybe the atmosphere between Wii U, Wii and a switch controller that offers free movement is not bad and it's not all that expensive either. For the children and family intended a huge fun, of course, not as shown in the advertisement.

250 euro-300 euro is already a blatant price for a "more" Wii console, as we all know someday come out more consoles and then the console or the console is again a flop, but the classic Wii console you know so is still unique, it will always be.

It was the same as with my Xbox 360, then came the XBox One and I paid a new price of 600 euro for an XBox (One) floating in another generation of games, that was a big disappointment to me as you have so many XBox 360 games and then the XBox One and a few months later, or a few (3?) years, the XBox One X came out, exchanging it with a few games and your XBox One. Soon we have the PS5 already at the start and now Google brings out a console called "Stadia".

Stadia is not a console, as far as I know. These are more games that run on Google's servers and are probably played in the browser by steaming, so on PCs.

My last console is the classic Gameboy with the green display (I know the Wii from the circle of friends), but I would like to try something new. The problem that it develops so fast, I know too, today is just too much choice. I also find the 3DS interesting, but also VR glasses. But you have to decide for something.

Di

I also want to play VR, but there are also big price differences between the… So for games, for relaxation and the most expensive VR glasses for everything "packed". But the Wii switch, if you do not have any I would recommend, the 3DS is not a mistake either. But you have to decide between the three, VR is still the future and favorite and not bad for the price, since you move enough.

Personally, the switch was a very good investment. As a proud owner of the Wii, I can say that this console was also unique to me, but Switch offers a bit more innovation for me, as you can take it anywhere… Yes, you need an extra charging cable, but you get that even relatively cheap.

While bodywork is only required at Mario Party, as far as I know, it has been well worth it for me and the Switch to invest. There are really many great games for the console.

For the 3DS, a successor was announced today, at least, the journalists suspect that. So there should be two new switches, one that is only mobile and cheaper, and one that is as the current, only a little improved. Then there's probably no longer the 3DS, but whether the new device also has a 3D function, you can't say that yet. I'll definitely wait for that. The price of the games scares me but basically.

But exactly the same problem you described above, there's also VR. No sooner are you approaching the decision to buy a Rift, the Rift S is presented, and a few days later the Qualcom glasses, which can be used both on the PC and independently. The innovations are so fast that the technology would quickly become obsolete.

Di

So isses, terrible right? So you better buy a VR glasses or wait just yet. VR glasses are great and if you already have them then you prefer to buy a more versatile VR glasses than one for 50 euro. So haste longer of it.

No it is not. Nintendo has been inspired by the Wii and the Wii U, but have implemented it with new technology. The Wii Remote is a giant unlike the Joy Cons

The Wii U gamepad was pretty clumsy, uncomfortable and sometimes hard to handle. We were glad to finally play with a Pro Controller

But what I think is the downside is the screen. The Wii you had a sturdy touch screen, the switch did not. Thus, it will also be tedious to design in Super Mario Maker 2 levels. In this game, the Wii you is clearly better off because it still has a stylus and a proper touch screen. The display of the Nintendo Switch is best compared with a smartphone display, since both are quite sensitive

My conclusion about the Nintendo Switch:

It can be improved a lot. On the one hand a robust display with a touch pen but also good picture quality on the gamepad. Of course, the switch can't give the same performance as the PS4, Xbox One and the other Xbox models. Of course, there's always a lot of room for improvement. Another disadvantage with the switch is the battery life of the gamepad. For some games, the battery lasts a maximum of 3 hours, which is relatively low. The battery of a smartphone lasts even longer than that of the gamepad. Another disadvantage is that the switch is not backwards compatible like the Wii U, the Wii or the NDS. In addition, there's no hope that even older games like Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Sunshine can ever play on the Virtual Console. Nintendo prefers to use NES games for which almost nobody is interested

I would rather recommend the 3DS. Since you really have a large selection of games, what you do not have in the VR games. Either the glasses are overpriced or sometimes the games. And anyway, you should be aware of the risks, because not everyone is made for these games. If you have friends who have VR glasses, you can first ask them if you can try them out. So you can find out if VR is for you or not. I have often heard that many have headaches or other discomfort with VR games, or even side effects after playing games. With the 3DS you are in my opinion on the safest side. Best I would recommend you the New 3DS XL. These models are relatively large, hold very well in the hand and also have the new button layout. There's now a large selection of models such as The two

There you are right, but unfortunately I do not know anybody with whom I could try something like that.

I think there are gaming corners in some media markets maybe you can try some there
