As a Wii U owner disappointed with the switch?

Don't get me wrong, objectively the Switch is a grandiose and innovative console. However, there are certain criticisms that you as a Wii U owner pay special attention to. On the one hand, the online service on the Wii U was much better, since there was a lot more choice in the eShop and it was really diverse, and on the other hand, you didn't have to spend unnecessary money on it. If you are so crazy about NES titles, you should get the Nintendo Classic Mini. On the other hand, too little effort was invested to develop games for the Switch, since so many titles are simply ports of the Wii you and then for the players who already have a Wii U there's hardly anything left. Not a new Donkey Kong Country, not a new 2D Mario, not a new Mario Kart, I'm sorry if I complain too much now, but as a Wii U owner I'm disappointed. I hope that Nintendo will finally develop new games instead of degrading the Wii U even more, which I think is a very underestimated console.

"Objectively, the Switch is a grandiose and innovative console"

Absolutely not. Objectively, the switch is a console with hardware that was already outdated at the time of release and was also clocked down. Quite a few mobile phones were significantly more powerful when the Switch was released. Without Nintendo's exclusive title, the Switch would have gone under like a thousand other underachieving handhelds.

But to expect that Nintendo will still offer great support for an almost 8 year old console, which was an absolute failure on the market, is again a bit too much. Somewhere there has to be an end, especially since the Wii you is of course much weaker again.

Hu

Sorry? ^^ The Switch has so far more e-shop titles than the Wii U has. (Whether they are good or bad, first put it there) What were there many times, with the Wii U? O.o.

But servers also cost a lot and the servers of the Wii U sometimes left a lot to be desired ^^ (Finds on the switch also make everything more stable) … And 20 euro, for a whole year, is not a lot.

The Mini Classic, however, only has pre-installed games… Not a really good argument to compare it with the subscription model, the Switch.

Of course, a lot was ported, but that's also due to the sales figures at the time, the respective title ^^ Now Nintendo makes more money with the ports, and it reaches a lot more people, (which is also the point of it) the games than it was the case with the Wii U… It's just a plus point.

The Switch is just 3 years old… A new Donkey Kong and Mario Kart may appear… ^^ The life cycle is far from over.

But sometimes sounds like 0 information, on your part. Because a new 2D Mario has already appeared… There are already many new good games… Be it Xenoblade Chronicles 2 … Luigis Mansion 3 … Fire Embleem Three Houses… Soon Animal Crossing New Leaf, then sometime a new Metroid, also a Bayonetta 3 will appear… There was a new Mario Party, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games… So I only mention a small part of the games ^^

Do not understand what is a "dignified" on the part of the Wii U ^^

Hu

Even if many cell phones are better, from the hardware, that doesn't mean anything ^^ (see e.g. Asphalt 9)

The switch is and remains, not a handheld, if the one sentence means this ^^

Which company would not have "disappeared" without your exclusive title… Consoles live from it 😁

Of course it is out of date, even with the release, in terms of the hardware, but nothing really was put on it… ^^

Ma

"still looks better here and there"

Thanks to the optimization achievements of the game developers. So far, nobody has bothered to do anything on their cell phones.

"The switch is and remains, not a handheld"

The handheld part is the only thing that makes them at least innovative. Docked the whole thing is even sadder.

"Consoles live from it 😁"

Today Yes. That was not the case for a long time.

And a console that already had an ancient CPU and an (albeit a little less) outdated graphics chip at the release and then calling up a price that borders on audacity. But Nintendo has often proven that they have no qualms about it. That's why the Wii U was crashed into the wall at the time.

New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is also a port

Da

Grade nintendo doesn't need 4K graphics. She has her own charm and I'm happy with the exclusive title. Sure, a few new ones should appear. All the console reports are horrible on the switch

Ma

I hope you mean charm. Nevertheless, even Nintendo's own developments often don't even run smoothly, although the resolution and everything else is lagging behind. You should treat yourself to such strong hardware that at least your own games run properly.

Ouch, someone who likes the Wii U 😂

Again, get it wrong: there are VERY LITTLE who found that the Wii U was a good console (which I didn't think it was). So switching was a very good step in the right direction. Nintendo has completely given up the struggle with performance since the Wii and, on the contrary, just went more on things that a USP should create. Everyone connects the Wii with motion control and the switch with the "switch", you can play anywhere and anytime.

The Wii you and the GameCube had no such feature, so they were nothing special compared to the competition and are pretty flopped. 😕

But everyone can have their opinion. 😉

Da

Where is what and yes of course I mean charm ^ - ^

Most games run smoothly at 60 FPS. Of course, only in single to dou mode. No more than 3 players

Ma

One of the flagships, Zelda: BotW did not even go to the release with 30 FPS, but now it mostly does it after several improvements. It looks similar with many other games.

En

Rarely stupid comment ^^ you have zero idea of technology and let you be impressed by numbers ^^ no cell phone can keep up with the graphics performance of the switch without either melting or going out in minutes due to overheating ^^ the switch is a game console and all soft and hardware components are designed for this reason that is why the small part also needs an active graphics card fan ^^ a cell phone must support all sorts of other areas equally… Furthermore - such a cell phone would also double the price ^^ your exclusive title also limps extremely, because the gamecube as well as the wii u ^^^ oh, if you had any idea of the switch, say used several days one, would you know that it is not a handheld ^^

Ma

Only the handheld part is relevant to her, because docked looks all the more sad. By the way, my partner has one here and believe me, I have enough of it.

It's obvious that every Nintendo console has exclusive titles. But the Wii U, for example, was still crashed into the wall.

Ma

Incidentally, the switch has a down-clocked Tegra X1, which was already obsolete when the console was released, while many current cell phones have more powerful GPU chips without melting. Even the ECU in a Tesla has better hardware.

En

Hardly any ^^ every game looks much better in tv mode, if you see it differently, you should get glasses. Or set your tv correctly ^^ it is logical, only in docked mode does the console run at full power, has to do with the battery in portable mode ^^ that was your argument with the exclusive titles, and that just limps both the wii you and the gamecube were not really successful despite these exclusives. The switch already has its raison d'être, because it obviously served a person that nobody thought of - hence the extreme success. About 50 million devices in three years, not even the ps4 was able to do in this period.

Ma

In dock mode, the console fails even more than the competition. It is clear that it is stronger than in handheld mode.

En

N old hat that the xbox and the ps are stronger, in comparison they are also huge bread boxes without a battery and screen, which also had to find their place, something you have to consider ^^ they packs - with drawbacks - at least, for example. Doom 3 or whitcher 3. Funnily enough, she even has the graphically best version of alien isolation, as far as all consoles are concerned ^^ well and with a teraflop as a performance, she is not that far behind the first xbox one with 1.4 tf.

Ma

That's right, it's just four years older…
