If the code is completely scratched away nothing. If parts of the code are still to be read, support can help you.
That happened to me too. I wrote about 10-15 minutes with a member of the support team until he then told me the rest of my code.
Back then, it was a Netflix gift card and not a Nintendo e-shop card. Then you are probably at the mercy of the company.
You can report it to PlayStation Support. But do not know if it is the same with Nintendo. It's best to contact support.
