Amazon payment change required for some orders?

Hi

I have had for a few days that I want to order something, but then I see "Payment change required". I'm paying by direct debit. Otherwise I could always pay for everything with it. Amazon requires me to add a different payment method. (I have no creditcard). But I just bought something else from Amazon (Nintendo Online) and I was able to pay for it by direct debit without the message "Payment change required". Why does Amazon ask me to do this for some products and not for some? Is there any way around this? Why do they want a change in payment?

Ma

This is purely a precautionary measure by Amazon.

Simply pay for your next purchase with an Amazon voucher and then it should work again.

Qu

This is an Amazon security measure.

This comes when Amazon's risk routines decide that the direct debit payment method for an order / with a customer is not secure enough for Amazon.
They can't see whether there's enough money in the bank account.

Ga

Yes, but why can I buy other things like the Nintendo Online Code?

Mi

Just get yourself a credit card and it will work out wonderfully.

Qu

As I said - that is decided by Amazon's risk routines.
They have enough "experience" to be able to assess which orders / which customers are more likely to have payment problems.

Ga

I've never had any payment issues with my account: / so is there no workaround?

Qu

These risk routines work with empirical values that do not necessarily have to be related to you personally.
Can be enough if someone who lives on your street has been unreliable. Possibilities:

Buy a credit card
Sometimes it works with credit
Wait until you are a longstanding, reliable customer

Ga

When do you start to be a long-term customer from your point of view? So I've been ordering for 2 years now and there have never been any problems, I already think that this makes me a reliable customer

Qu

Amazon's risk routines obviously see it differently ;-)
How old are you?
Age has a very significant influence on creditworthiness.

fi

Since Amazon is 18 and over, you are certainly of legal age.

Then you should just buy a credit card and you will never have problems again. There are enough providers, some without Schufa, completely free of charge.

Ga

I'm 17 (but of course I have my parents' consent).

Ga

I'm 17 (but everything goes with the consent of my parents)

fi

Do your parents allow you to drive a car without a rag?
Your parents should work on their upbringing, pretty irresponsibly.
Amazon is from 18. Now come the consequences.

Ga

Are you okay?

According to § 106 BGB (German Civil Code) you have limited legal capacity from the age of 7

So it is allowed to order things under age with the consent of the parents…

Ga

Comparing this with the driver's license makes no sense and I can also say that your parents should have raised them better, if they had done this they would not have been so disrespectful today…

Qu

Are you kidding me?
Are you a minor, have you violated the Amazon terms and conditions for 2 years and consider yourself a "reliable customer"?
That's probably the most ridiculous joke ever!

Amazon is from 18 years!
Nobody cares about your parents' consent.
Minors are not fully legally competent!
Minors have NULL creditworthiness!
Minors are not allowed to order themselves!
It's about time you got banned!

Ga

Well, my parents are of legal age, it runs through my father's account. And about your last sentence, it is high time you got a real shot for this disrespect!
