I'm staggering between the new 3ds and new 2ds xl.
Actually, I'm for the new 2ds xl, however, I sometimes read that some like the 3d effect that does not exist in the 2ds. But how is the 3d effect? I can't imagine a stark difference somehow. Is the 3d effect important to you or is the difference rather small? Had a nintendo ds lite before, and until today only playstation but I miss some things from nintendo.
I've been using my 3ds for years and have used the 3d feature for about 3 minutes just to test them out, the difference was very small and it hardly changed the game experience. So with the 2ds you have saved money and really it is just as good.
Personally, I'm someone who has always been in constant use of 3d games for most of my games, but did not have any problems like headaches or anything
I've always liked using the 3d effect, but how pronounced it is depends on the game. But there are also some games that do not support it or where I leave it out if it is too much on the performance. Games like the latest Pokemon used 3d (just because of the reason) only in very few places or even not at all.
In my experience, this is different in different games.
For some, the picture really looks like it could reach in, but less in others. And some 3DS games do not have a 3D effect
